One of the highpoints of Chef April's career was at
the prestigious Seasons Restaurant at the Bostonian
Hotel, where he held the position of Executive Sous
Chef and worked under world famous Executive Chefs Lydia
Shire and William Poirier.
During this time, Chef April was rated in, "Top
Four Sous Chefs in US" (New York Times).
Chef April then moved on to the position of Executive
Chef for Creative Celebrations Catering Company, Somerville,
MA. recognized as one of Boston's leading catering organizations
(Best of Boston; Boston Magazine, 1990), Chef April
catered events at some of Boston's premier social locations
including:
Museum of Fine Arts
Gardner Museum
Kennedy Library
Top of the Prudential
Neiman Marcus at Copley Square
Upscale private affairs from Newport to Cape Cod
Before opening his current business with partner Sam
Ambra, Chef April was Executive Chef at the
Bradford House Restaurant, Bradford, MA. This
fine location included a full-service function facility,
as well as a fine dining restaurant. While there, the
Chef received a three star rating from critic, Gus Saunders.
He was also featured in both the Boston Globe and the
Boston Herald.
A graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence,
Rhode Island with a degree in culinary studies, Chef
April honed his skills and gained experience at notable
restaurants along the east coast, such as: The
Regatta, Falmouth MA, The
Pink Elephant, Boca Grande, FL and The
Asa Bearse House, Hyannis MA.
